316-779-7700 ext. 344 Optima Bus Corporation Delivers Opuses to Knoxville Area TransitWichita, KS – November 10, 2005 – Optima Bus Corporation received orders for the futuristic-looking Opus buses from two new customers - Skagit Transit, located in Burlington, Wash., and Marshalltown Municipal Transit, located in Marshalltown, Iowa. Skagit Transit ordered three under-30' Opus buses, and will operate these buses on urban fixed routes. Dale O'Brien, Executive Director of Skagit Transit said before ordering the Opus, Skagit's maintenance and operations managers spoke with Opus-operators C-Tran, in Vancouver, Wash., and Link Transit, in Wenatchee, Wash. Both transit properties are happy with the performance of the Opus, which helped influence Skagit Transit's decision to purchase the Opus. "The under-30' Opus doesn't look like the large, traditional 35' or 40' transit bus, the design of the Opus is not only operator friendly but also fits with our current and future service plans," said O'Brien. "We also expect that the Opus will be fuel-efficient and maintenance free." Marshalltown Municipal Transit ordered one under-30' Opus. Marshalltown will use the Opus for fixed route service. "The Opus has a good reputation, is a strong bus with reliable features, and we like its appearance," said Richard Stone, Director of Marshalltown Municipal Transit. "We have operated the same type of bus for 20 years, so putting the Opus into service will be a welcome addition to our aging fleet and will allow us to improve the image of our fleet and our service." Optima Bus Corporation "transit tough" products - the revolutionary-designed Opus low-floor bus and nostalgic American Heritage Streetcar - have lived-up to their reputations with more than 170 Optima customers across the United States.
