316-779-7700 ext. 344 Optima wins Des Moines bus contractWichita, KS – October 18, 2005 – Optima Bus Corp. has won a contract to build 11 buses for the Des Moines (Iowa) Metropolitan Transit Authority. The 11 Opus buses will be used for fixed route and paratransit service in Des Moines. The buses will be delivered in the fall of 2006. Carol Pelfrey, Des Moines MTA Maintenance Manager, said that the agency already owns 10 Opus buses. He said the agency's evaluation team chose Optima because of the transit property's positive experiences. From the Wichita Eagle
