316-779-7700 ext. 344 Memphis buys a dozen Optima busesWichita, KS – October 12, 2005 – Optima Bus Corp. will build 12 of its under 30-foot Opus buses in a $3 million deal with the Memphis Area Transit Authority. The buses will be used for paratransit service for the disabled. The contract specifies that the buses will be delivered before the end of 2005. "It's a new customer for us," says Steve Kratzer, Optima marketing and business development representative. Optima Bus, 1601 E. 77th St. North, has 140 employees and is in a tie with Plastic Fabrication Co. as the 35th largest area employer by the Wichita Business Journal's 2004 Book of Lists.
