Optima Bus Corp. gets new orders

Wichita, KS – April 25, 2005 – Optima Bus Corp. in Park City, Kan., has received two new orders totaling more than $2.7 million.

The Indianapolis Public Transportation Corp. (IndyGo) in Indiana ordered nine under-35-foot Opus low-floor buses. In addition, the city of Hot Springs, Ark., ordered one Opus bus of the same model.

The Indianapolis order is worth about $2.5 million. The Hot Springs order totals $266,000.

Diane Hawkins, marketing and sales manager for Optima, said Monday that the bus will be delivered to Hot Springs sometime this spring. The fleet of nine buses sold to IndyGo will be delivered in the summer.

Optima is located at 1601 E. 77th North, north of Wichita. It has more than 150 public transit customers in the United States.
