Optima Bus Corp. gets expanded order

Wichita, KS – March 4, 2005 – The Utah Transit Authority in Salt Lake City has exercised its option to expand its contract with Park City's Optima Bus Corp., which in 2004 began manufacturing buses for the UTA.

Optima announced Friday that the UTA will add another 18 Opus low-floor buses to the original order of 15, a total now of 33.

Optima is located at 1601 E. 77th North, just north of Wichita.

The manufacturer has secured several large orders in the past year to build buses for transit authorities in large cities across the United States.
