Corpus Christi, Texas' third order of Opus Low-Floor buses brings its fleet of Optima's modernistic buses to 28

Wichita, KS – June 23, 2004 – Optima Bus Corporation announced today that the Corpus Christi Regional Transportation Authority (CCRTA) has taken delivery of its third consecutive order of the company's popular Opus low-floor buses. The latest order of eleven units includes three under-30-ft. models and seven under-35-ft. models. This latest delivery brings the Corpus Christi fleet of Optima's modernistic Opus buses to 28 units.

Ricardo Sanchez, Interim General Manager of the Corpus Christi Regional Transportation Authority in Texas, says this third addition of Opus low-floor buses was an easy decision because the Opus buses already in service have chalked up an impressive performance record. "Everyone from drivers and maintenance people to the riding public have been impressed with the Opus," says Sanchez.

"Operational factors such as fuel efficiency, easy maintenance, driver comfort and superior safety give the Opus high marks from our side of the equation," remarks Sanchez. "And, easy boarding, smooth ride and rider appeal give it equally high scores from passengers. Opus has given the Corpus Christi RTA a great return on its investment," he says.
