316-779-7700 ext. 344 Avon, Colorado Ski Resort announces purchase of Opus Low-Floor buses from Optima Bus CorporationWichita, KS – April 26, 2004 – Optima Bus Corporation announced today that the Beaver Creek Ski Resort in Avon, Colo., has purchased two under-30-ft. Opus low-floor buses to carry skiers and tourists between the ski runs and parking facilities. Chris Lubbers, General Manager of Transportation for Beaver Creek Ski Resort, said that because Beaver Creek enjoys a reputation as one of the highest quality ski resorts in the world, it was important to select a bus that would reflect the resort's commitment to quality. "We compared buses from several of the largest bus manufacturers and chose the Opus low-floor bus because the engine package is an ideal combination of performance and efficiency. It has an excellent record of operation at high altitudes. The low-floor entry is also ideal for skiers. "Though skiers will appreciate how easy it is to get on an Opus in the mornings, they will especially appreciate how easy it is to get on the bus after a hard day of skiing when their ski boots feel a lot heavier," Lubbers said with a smile.
