316-779-7700 ext. 344 Corpus Christi, Texas announces purchase of eleven Opus Low-Floor buses from Optima Bus CorporationWichita, KS – April 14, 2004 – Optima Bus Corporation announced today that the Corpus Christi Regional Transportation Authority has placed its third consecutive order for the company's popular Opus low-floor buses. The latest order of eleven units includes three under-30-ft. models and eight under-35-ft. models. When delivered in the fall of 2004, the Corpus Christi fleet of Opus low-floor buses will stand at twenty-eight units. Linda Watson, general manager of the Corpus Christi Regional Transportation Authority in Texas, says the third purchase of Opus low-floor buses was an easy decision because the Opus has a proven track record among her organization's drivers, maintenance people and the riding public. "Whether you measure fuel efficiency, ease of access, maintenance, driver comfort, safety, longevity, or return on investment," says Watson, "the Opus has given the Corpus Christi RTA great performance, flexibility and operational economy."
