316-779-7700 ext. 344 Repeat Customers Take Delivery of New American Heritage StreetcarsWichita, KS – January 13, 2006 – Optima Bus Corporation delivered streetcars to repeat customers Red Rose Transit Authority, located in Lancaster, Pa., and SouthWest Metro Transit Commission, located in Eden Prairie, Minn. Each transit property took delivery of one American Heritage Streetcar. This delivery brings each transit propertyÕs trolley fleet to consist of three American Heritage Streetcars. In addition the streetcars, Red Rose Transit also operates four under 30Õ and 12 under 35Õ Opus low-floor buses. "RRTA was pleased with the timely production and delivery of the new streetcar. We were able to introduce the vehicle to the community as part of our shuttle services during the New YearÕs Eve celebration in downtown Lancaster," said Jim Lutz, Executive Director of Red Rose Transit. "The success of our Historic Trolley Shuttle and park-and-ride service in Lancaster City made it both possible and necessary to add a third new Optima streetcar to our fleet. This vehicle will replace a 1990 streetcar that has served the community well." "We have had good success with the American Heritage Streetcar, and consider it to be the best vehicle of its kind in the marketplace. Our previous experience with Optima and the streetcar has been great both in terms of vehicle reliability and customer service," said Len Simich, Executive Director of SouthWest Metro Transit. "We provide local service in three communities all with some historic significance. This latest purchase gives us three trolleys, so we will program new service in each community using a trolley." Optima Bus Corporation "transit tough" products - nostalgic American Heritage Streetcar and the revolutionary-designed Opus low-floor bus - have lived-up to their reputations with more than 175 Optima customers across the United States.
