designed driver's area keeps all operational controls
within easy reach. A full-view windshield and large,
passenger windows provide exceptional visibility
throughout the vehicle.
Accessibility
Designed for easy accessibility, Opus features a
10.5-inch step height in its kneeled position for
simplified loading and unloading of passengers with
small children, the elderly, and passengers with
disabilities. Opus offers spacious seating space
in the low-floor area, including two wheelchair
positions with tie-downs, and a powered wheelchair
ramp to ensure easy loading from any surface.
Durability and Maintenance
The Opus Low-Floor Bus utilizes the Wright
Aluminique™ modular bolted aluminum system, which
combines remarkable structural strength with low
overall weight. Because of the Opus' lighter overall
weight, it offers better fuel economy and less
pollution, noise and wear and tear on streets.
The bus' modular construction and split pillar
design permits fast, economical repairs. In addition,
Opus' heavy-duty chassis, developed by Optima, offers
a minimum service life of 12 years or 500,000 miles.
